The Ethiopian Kale Heywet Church (EKHC) Marriage, Family, and National Revival Prayer Ministry Department was reorganized over 15 years ago to shape the church’s spiritual, social, mental, emotional, and physical growth based on biblical foundations.
The department consists of two main sub-units: Marriage & Family and National Prayer Ministry.
Marriage and Family:
Marriage is a sacred institution founded by God, originating in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve.
The department focuses on pre-marital counseling, post-marital educational follow-ups, strengthening leaders’ families, and providing Training of Trainers (TOT) for minister couples.
It emphasizes that Christian ministers and leaders must model godly leadership first within their own home and family life.
Prayer Ministry:
Prayer is essential for church revival and holistic growth, structured around three main levels:
Personal Prayer: Every believer is encouraged to build a personal prayer altar for continuous fellowship with God.
Family Prayer: Establishing family prayer altars to break generational curses and nurture children spiritually.
Corporate / Church Prayer: Involves regular prayer focused on praising God, repentance, supplication/intercession, and warfare prayer to demolish evil works.
